I commute from Portland to Wine Country every day. And once I do get to work, I often times have to criss-cross the valley, from Gaston in the North to Salem in the south, to visit the six vineyards that we farm. This extensive time in the car is not only great for drinking massive amounts of coffee and getting my fill of National Public Radio but I also stop along the way to take pictures. The Willamette Valley, and Western Oregon is just as beautiful as any other region that I have visited in my travels and so I thought it would be fun to show you what it looks like from time to time and from season to season. Here are my most recent shots from the cold wet and mossy month of January.
