La Spirale, meaning “the vortex,” symbolizing universal forces of creation and life-giving energy, stands as our newest estate vineyard. Acquired in 2018, this marked a pivotal moment in Bergström Wines’ journey towards becoming a 100% estate-grown winery—an ambition since our inaugural vintage.

A Complex Mosaic of Soils

La Spirale’s landscape unfolds as a long, undulating, sandy slope, facing south and gently tilting westward. Encompassed by forest on three sides, this vineyard is a complex patchwork of marine sedimentary sands boasting over 14 identifiable soil types—a captivating yet intricate tapestry to cultivate.

Pinot Noir: A Floral Jewel

Pinot Noir from La Spirale stands as one of the Willamette Valley’s most captivatingly floral-driven expressions. A playful and inviting expression with peonies, roses, violets, and candied red fruits enticing the senses. A juicy and succulent acidity gracefully lingers through an enduring, mouthwatering finish.

Chardonnay: Electricity and Vibrance

Unfolds with an explosion of stone fruit aromas intertwining with delicate hints of lemon rind, marmalade, lime blossom, and a briny, oyster-like salinity.
